To Celebrate the 30th Anniversary, Seiko introduces the Limited Edition to celebrate such a remarkable event. Bringing the famous and unique merit-making festival essence from the Northeastern region, the SPB247J demonstrates the Phi Ta Khon culture. 

"Isan Ban Hao", the origin of the traditional festival "Phi Ta Khon" parade, is one of the 9 large merit-making events called "Boon Luang Festival" or "Boon Phawet". With the uniqueness of this Phi Ta Khon festival-inspired bright colours, Seiko specially decorated the Sumo bezel accordingly.

The colour of the bezel in black and red contrasting with the 9th gold index and hour markers is inspired by the "Golden Phi Ta Khon Mask" from the festive costumes of Phi Ta Khon.

The Seiko Prospex Sumo SPB247J1 is limited to 1,991 pieces. It symbolizes the beginning of the first special number 9.
